A friend told me a bout Vivian Maier a while ago, and I have been meaning to blog about her. Vivian Maier was a nanny living in Chicago, who also was an avid street photographer. While she was never famous or celebrated for her work in her lifetime, her work was discovered in 2007 by John Maloof through a box of film and prints he purchased at an auction from a repossessed storage locker. Vivian Maier’s work is really amazing. I look at it, and am in complete awe. I always find myself to be too timid to photograph people when it is outside of a “photoshoot” and it is really amazing to see the work of someone so bold. Her images of people are at the same time gritty and honest. Really something to behold.
A short video about her can be found here:

I recently photographed a golf tournament for LifeChoice Donor Services. Such a great cause and wonderful people. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day.
These are a few pictures from wedding I shot this Spring. The couple was so creative, and it was such a fun event to photograph.
I’ve been terrible about blogging lately because I have been so busy with being out in the world shooting. I’ve had an event nearly every weekend, big, small, and somewhere in the middle. Here are a few pictures from a recent horse show I shot for my barn.
We had another really great storm the other night. It resulted in some neat pictures. One with both rain and sun, and then a fabulous sunset. It was just breathtaking in person.
