Storms

We’ve been having crazy storms in New England, and even had our very own tornado in Connecticut/Massachusetts. These are a couple of pictures I snapped after the storms passed. Pretty amazing!

Late Spring (Almost Summer) Update

IMG_4229.jpgIMG_4254.jpgIMG_4267.jpgIMG_4283.jpgIMG_4300.jpgIMG_4302.jpgIMG_4313.jpgIMG_4835.jpgIMG_4836.jpgIMG_4839.jpgIMG_4834.jpgIMG_4837.jpg
Woooh! It has been a busy Spring. I have been pretty consumed with pursuits outside of photography, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been taking pictures. Recently, I planted a garden at our home in Connecticut. I’ve loved gardening since I was a little kid, when my mother made a small little plot for me in our backyard. As my mother is an avid gardener, I’ve always tagged along, learning the names of different plants and how to keep them happy (read: alive). A few weeks ago, I decided to make a garden. In true nostalgia fashion, I asked my mother to help me. We woke up at the crack of dawn to drive to the Hartford Regional Market. We picked up a bunch of vegetable plants and flowers, and spent the day digging in the dirt. I documented the experience, and I am happy to say that my little garden is already starting to produce!

Tim & Jess Engagement Shoot

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Tim & Jess for their engagement pictures. Here are some favorites from the day. Enjoy!

Spring

It’s finally starting to feel like Spring. Even though it is raining today, the temperature is starting to feel a bit warmer and the air has taken on that earthy, fresh scent that is indicative of Spring. It was a long, harsh winter for Connecticut (and New England in general), and in a lot of ways it zapped my creativity. It just felt too cold to want to get out and shoot. However, it seems safe to say that we are in the clear…warmer days are upon us. I love the little signs of nature waking up – from the skunk cabbage to the peepers chirping.

Mules and Such.

These are a few images from a recent shoot I did at my barn. They turned the mule out, and I couldn’t resist getting a few shots of him, completely covered in mud.
